Since Self Made was released, just one journalist has shown an interested in interviewing any of the participants. That person is Mark Sheerin from Culture 24, and he is the only writer to approach me in order to discover more about the experiences of a participant in Self Made. There have been many critics all too ready to rubbish the film, claiming it was exploitative, and yet not one of those detractors so much as bothered to think so far as to ask us what we thought.
