Chris Moyles should be paid, because that’s just a contractual agreement he has with the BBC.
He should also be sacked, because he’s an outdated, whinging, and overpaid presenter who feels it’s appropriate to talk about his financial problems live on air to an audience that – on average – earns around 4% of his annual income.
I don’t care that he’s been sleeping on sofas. If he’s poor with his own money, that’s his problem. He wasn’t paid because of a technical glitch. It happens. As an adult, you talk to your finance team, and get it resolved. You do not broadcast your hollow grief to the public.
Well, you shouldn’t, but if you’re Chris Moyles – you do whatever you feel like.
